DAY 163

Not going to be a big day for reporting.

We hit the strip just after lunch & walked around till about 5pm.

We of course did manage to quench our thirst along the way a few times.

We also managed to piss away the grand total of $20.00 each in a couple of one armed bandits.

When we got home we had a few more & headed for the shuttle to the hotel for dinner.

However we had missed the bus & had to drink beers at the campground bar.

Then we missed the next bus & ate right there.

Then we had had enough so we went home.

DAY 162

So we head to Vegas at the crack of 10:15 & arrive around 3

It's 21 & after getting settled we head for a drive down the strip.

Then its back home for pizza & a little poker.I know it's not Friday but it's late & we are lazy.

Oh yea,we check the mail & sure enough our ebay purchase has arrived.

So if your'e watching the race on Sunday look for us just after turn 4 Oh yea,We got tickets for all 3 days.

My first ever E bay purchase & it worked.

More Day 161

Chris & I drove up to Colton to pick up some hinges for a cupboard.

All fixed

Then we stopped in Riverside for lunch(I think it was for the wings)

Well maybe not.

Then we came upon this other store.Now this store Peggy does not allow me to go in.

It all started in San Francisco a few years ago.

But she is not here so guess where I went.

OOOOOHHHHH what a rebel



When we got home it was time to catch a few rays before the clouds rolled in.

Then it was off shopping at the dollar store for some classic shopping then to Staters for beers cause you can't get 144 beers in Vegas for $83.96.

Oh ya-we are heading for Vegas in the morning.

Speaking of beers,we had a few & played poker(always a good combination)

DAY 161 PEGGY'S BIRTHDAY

Today Peggy is 49 & counting & counting & counting & counting & counting & counting & counting & counting & counting.

Day 160

After cleaning the interior of the motorhome.(The Molly Made rep keeps beating down our door,$4.00 per hour is tempting but we said no we don't want the job.)we thought we would catch some rays.



But oh no! Fartso thinks she's Elmer Fudd & has run of chasing Bugs Bunny.

Normally she returns immediately but not today.



We look everywhere but no Fartso.

The neighbours also join in along with some other dog owners.



So I'm riding around the streets looking,I stumble across a group of people & ask if they had seen her & low & behold one of them is holding her.(no wonder she didn't come home)



Ok she's safe we head to the pool to catch some rays.

Soon it's time to BBQ some monster burgers as we have to be to Texas Holdem by 5:30.

We make it just in time.

I did not fare well only winning 1 hand all nite but Chris did great hanging in there & finishing just out of the money in seventh(little bastard)

Oh well tomorrow is another day.

DAY 159

Mr Caddy is Gone Mrs Jeep is back

She has a new battery at no cost.I hope that's the cure.

Mrs Howard is also gone & missed by everyone.

And me

Even the doves miss her.

So it was a half decent day and we drowned our sorrows in beer

Even Sonny got in on the beer.

After Happy hours we made Tacos and played poker on line(but not well)

DAY 158

Peg waved good-bye & took off for St. Albert this morning.We are going to miss her.


Good ole Palm Springs,got a little confused & made an illegal left turn.

Look who's in the rear view mirror.

He's now got my license & calling it in.We also have no registration or insurance papers.

But he's a great guy,we get no tickets & he's on his way.WHEW!

Then it's back home in time to watch the race.

Damn we could have made it as it was only about 80 miles away.

Maybe we will go to the one in Vegas next week.

DAY 157

Chris & I did a little shoplifting.Needed charcoal for those steaks.No gas for the beef.




When we got back John & Shirley's 5th wheel arrived.(They have a motor home but bought a 5r to leave down here)Why did they do that you say!Why?




Because they can & the 5r has more room cause it's longer & has 3 slides.



I drank beer & watched the guy park it(that's always exciting)




Peggy's last swim

Then we went to the pool(more beer)



Soon it was happy hour(more beer)

Then it was BBQ the steaks time(more beer)

Now it's eat the steaks time(wine)

It's now relax after dinner time(more wine)


Now we head to the hot tub time(scotch)

Finally it's time for our very very very last one(scotch)

(Peggy's substitue for beer & scotch was of course vodka)

DAY 156

Twas a nice day,did a little shoplifting,mostly beer-boy is coming today.

Picked Chris up at the Palm Springs Airport,he was even on time

And me too.

Hardly recognised him as can't call him red anymore cause of the new do

We got home around 5pm,Peg was back from the pool & crackbooking outside when we arrived.

I had bought 3 New York Striploin Steaks on sale $2.99lb total $7.74 to BBQ but we invited the neighbours Pat & Dave from Kelowna over for happy hour & a firepit which turned out to last a lot longer than an hour

So we ordered PIZZA

We shall have the steaks tomorrow.

DAY 155

Needed a car.

So rented one.

Then we went golfing in the couples 9 hole pot luck thing with Shirley & John,they are a great couple to golf with.Had a super time shot 39 with a 7 & 1- 3 putt.Had 15 putts in all.

Don't you love tournement golf? Won diddly squat..

Oh ya-We even walked

When we got home went to the pool for a while then came home pounded back 4 quick ones then headed over to the golf pot luck dinner.

We were the second last table to eat,therefore there was not a lot left of the main course but enough to fill the gap.Luck of the draw.

We had a great time & of course socialized after for a while.

Twas a great day & a good time was had by all.

Day 154

Screwed around with the Jeep for a while but could not find what's wrong.Showed 13.75 Volts but just clicked when the key was turned.

Called roadside assistance & they towed it away.

Of course the dealer is busy cause 2 other close dealers went out of business.

Hopefully we get it back by Friday to go pick Chris up at the airport.

Other than that it was a gorgeous day which we spent by the pool.

Then we went to a small Texas Holdem  game with only 10 experienced players.

We didn't win but we had a great time

DAY 153

It started off raining again today but then it got sporadic and finally cleared up later in the day.

Mrs Jeep gave us trouble again

No Start. She died at Von's so Peggy had to walk home with the groceries.

We gave her a boost but something must be wrong.Women are so finicky.

The dealer here in Hemet went tits up about a month ago so I'll have to see where the closest one is.

Well that was today's excitement.Must be time for a rest after that.

DAY 152

Mr Rain has decided to visit us again.

He has become one of those unwanted guests that keep returning.

He dumped on us pretty hard so we never left the MH on day.

5:30 soon arrived so it was time to play Campground Texas Holdem.

They pay back 5 & Peggy came in 6th.

I have no luck at this park at all. I probably came in 20th

This is one good reason to wear Pajamas!

DAY 151

It's the great american race day so we watched that all day

Congratulations to Matt Kenseth this years winner.

And thanks a lot to Dale Jr who decided that because he made so many mistakes he should cause a wreck.(even though he was a lap down)taking out my #1 guy Kyle 18 & ruining the day for 8 others.

OK got that off my chest.

DAY 150

Happy Valentines Day

After I slaved over breakfast Peggy went for a hair cut.
I sat in the sun & read.

Then we went shopping for a fruit tray for tonites pot luck.

And it was off to the pot luck valentines day dinner that 15 of us had arranged for ourselves.
The meal was fantastic & the company even better.

As usual we dragged some people home for our very very last one.

DAY 149

The weather went back into the shitter again.

So it's off to Banning CA to Bed Bath & Beyond (every mans favorite store)NOT

Then we were going to look at Motorhomes but Peg screwed up the directions & we could not find them.(Apparently we need Bambi in our lives)

So it's back home for Pizza & Poker nite,however we had pizza the other nite so we had Chinese

More good news:

Chris is trying to catch a flight into Palm Springs the same day as Peggy leaves
