Day 104

It was another gorgeous day in Casa Grande so we went golfing again.
High hit 22 or 23 & not a cloud in the sky.(tisk tisk)

Peg went with the broads & I went with Cliff,Rod & a dude named Jim.
Peg must have hit the ball a long way as I see she is resting the club on her shoulder while she waits for the ball to come down.

These are the other broads she golfed with.

I lost my 58 degree wedge and after going back & hunting for it everywhere I found it in my bag?

We all had a great time & Cliff didn't do what it looks like.

Rod & I tied with 91's The Cribbs each shot 89 & Peg had a 95.(Peg is getting too close for comfort)oh ya the dude named Jim also shot 91

After golf Peg and the others went to the pool for a swim while I drank beer & looked after the children who had been alone all day.What a great dad.

DAY 103

It's a great day for America everybody.Why you say?
Well I'll tell you why

The sun came out & the temperature reached 19C.

So we went golfing.
The competition warming up.

It started out very very slow(holidays you know) We thought we would never finish.

Then a lot of people quit after 9 so we just managed to finish before dark.

We did get twilight prices which is $20.00 each including the power cart.(what a country)

My cart quit on the first hole & we had to go get another & it was just fine.

Twas a great day.I played well except I blew up on 4 holes which totally screwed up the score allowing Rod to sneak by me by 2 strokes(I will never hear the end of it)

Oh well I'll get him tomorrow(maybe)

I did manage to win the putting contest & I took $$$$$$$ from Peg.

DAY 102

It's still cool here show but getting warmer every day.

Today it got to 14

We went shopping for bikes but did not find what we were looking for.We want the fold up kind & ot seems no one here sells them.we mite just have to wait till we go to a larger city like Phoenix or Tuscon.

Cliff & Gayle were supposed to come for happy hour,so Peg made up all these Horse Dervies & stuff but Cliff got a better offer so they went there instead.

After supper we played cards at Rod & Kathy's & of course the men kicked butt again

DAY 101

It was another quiet,vertically challenged day.

Too cold ouside only 9 degrees.

Got a haircut & watched a movie.

Went to Campground Texas Holdem,I came about 15th,Peggy came 4th & Rod got 3rd.

Nothing more to be said.

DAY 100 Boxing Day

Boxing day was a quiet day,You mite say we were vertically challenged.Did nothing but lay around & get fatter.

The weather is still quite chilly to do anything outside but according to the weather man the days are going to start gettting warmer.

By Monday we are supposed to be 19.
The nites are cold -4,-5
So we did nothing & have no pictures.

We did go next door to Rod & Kathy's for desert & a movie which was our only venture outside.

Day 99 Christmas day

Merry Christmas to all.We hope everyone had a Happy & Healthy Christmas.

It appears the fat bastard could not find us this year as there was nothing under the tree when we got up.

Oh well as long as he found everybody else,that's all that matters.

Rod made his traditional Eggs Benedict breakfast which was enjoyed by all 6 of us.A splendid job as usual(I think he had help from his Cheffette)

After stuffing ourselves at Rod's we returned home to rest up so we could eat dinner.

Looks like Mrs Clause could not find Santa either?

So it was off to the Cribbs for happy hour & then dinner.

Everybody pitched in to help with the dinner of Turkey,dressing,mashed potatoes & gravy,carrots,brussel sprouts,homemade cranberry sauce,buns,salt,pepper,butter,cole slaw,homemade lemon marange pie,chocolate pecan pie & great company.

FYI-For those of you in the know-the cole slaw was forgotten in the fridge,again.

Every single thing was excellent & most of us ate too much,but I guess that's Christmas.

Apparently there was a bunch of silly looking Dutch people at dinner(thanks a lot Kathy)

It also seams that Stevie Wonder's wife was there.

After dinner we did the gift exchange thing & everybody weirdly ended up with exactly what they bought.This worked out perfect for the Howies as we wanted what we bought.

Then we played Cranium again.

Guess Who?

The guys once again dominated the game & kicked ass.

Then the "losers" wanted to play Sunset Trivia.

So we kicked their asses again.

It's tough to be this good.

Anyway we had a lot of fun & no marriages were killed in the playing of the games.

DAY 98

Today we went out to do a little shoplifting but it was a zoo out there.(saw lots of animals)

Took a little drive to Arizona City & Elroy but didn't see anything to take a picture of.

The sun came out & it hit 18 for about a minute & a half & by the time we got home for a beer in the sun(3pm).the clouds rolled in & the temperature dropped a few degrees.Just enough to make it uncomfortable outside.(wimp)

Kathy,Rod,Peg & I went for Chinese food & surprisingly it was good.
When we got back all the Luminarias's were lit.They actually line all the streets
in the campground.Nice

Then there was the last good nite yip yap & it was off to put out the beer & cookies for Santa.

We did not have to put out the turkey to thaw this year as we could not find a frozen one to buy.Had to buy a fresh one.

The Yanks have their turkey on Thanksgiving & ham at Christmas.Turkeys were 38 cents a lb at Thanksgiving & $1.99 at Christmas.

I hope Santa can find us this year.

DAY 97

We went golfing today.I don't think what I did was golf.Got my ass kicked by both Cliff & Rod.
It was too cold for golf as far as I'm concerned.It might have got to 13 with a cool breeze. I have always been a fair weather golfer.

Anyway Peg had the camera so I have no shots of my pathetic game.
Peg golfed in a 3 some with Gayle

And Bonnie.

They seemed to have a lot more fun than me

I think this picture was taken because the saguaro is wearing a Santa hat.

After golf it was the usual sit around & tell some lies then off to the Cribb's for happy hour.

Then I fired up the little charcoal BBQ & did some steaks we got at whole foods(they were fantastic)

DAY 96

Not much to report:

Peg went to Gayle's exercise class

Peg went for a new dew.

We went to the Dollar store

My o my what excitement!

DAY 95

Another great day,high hit 18 again.

Peg & Gayle went shoplifting for clothes at the outlet mall(there goes my retirement)

Cliff went to the bar to watch football(really?)

Kathy & Rod hung out in their trailer(drapes were pulled & door was locked)

I just sat out in the sun with the mutts & read a magazine(they didn't read anything)

Then I borrowed Rod's bike again & went for a ride.

Soon it was happy hour again

We went to the Cribb's & took the firepit

Gayle had horse dervies ready for us.Note:She lights a candle for every sin she commits that day

Cause Gayle never has any fun
Rod & Cliff appear to be getting along well


After we separated them it was time for dinner

My compliments to the Chef.The meal was excellent.(I always did like a nice rack)



tAfter dinner we played Crainium,seems Kathy thought she was Olivia Newton John & Cliff of course kept an eye on the game.

Twas the guys against the girls & of course Male superiority reighned

That being said Gayle showed us what was really superior

DAY 94

It's a gorgeous sunny day here in Casa Grande AZ.probably going to hit 17 later on before the sun sets & it plunges to almost 0 in the nite.The snakes are hibernating so it's off to the golf course.
We are five-Cliff,Gayle,Rod,Peg & I so it's the women out first & the guys following.

Not sure what was going on here but it appears Peg is hiding from Gayle

(must be a woman thing)

I shot par on the front 9(36)could do nothing wrong,

Then of course reality set in & the wheels fell off 47 on the back

We had a great day & a lot of fun(especially on the front)

Then it was back for a couple,dinner,then off to Campground Texas Holdem.Peg,Me & Rod,finished in that order but not in the money.It's tuff to play campground holdem as 90%

of the people are "chasers".They chase down the pot without having anything at all.When you only have a couple of people doing this they don't last long but when everybody is doing it someone is bound to hit it.

Oh well,(sounds like sour grapes)we had a good time.

We shall have to come up with a new strategy for next week. Maybe we could learn to cheat-Na

DAY 93

Well so much for "the rain forest" it stopped raining.Hurray!

Did some more wrestling with the sattelite dish but after a 43 minute call to tech support we have a picture.Hurray!

Hey! Look who's out peddling their ass around the campground.

We have these name badges which by law you have to wear when ever you are in the campground.You will notice that the rebel Rick is not wearing his.I travelled through out the whole campground without being arrested by the badge police.Hurray!

Then it was happy hour again.So we tried Horse shoes.
