DAY 74

Ok so it's the same day but whatever
Went for breakfast with the Fisher's & 1/2 the Koch's(the other one was getting their nails done)

Then It's off to the races

We arrive at the races about 2pm-they started at nine am
They are almost over. All the big boats have gone & all they have left are the piss pots.
Oh well shit happens
However-There is a parade on the river tonight

Cookie is ready

A true member of the red hat society

Got a few pictures but the rest did not turn out

This is Cookie & Clyde's boat-third prize-all right
The Fisher's are leaving tomorrow & all the other Canadians on Monday-could be a sad day

DAY 73

Damn Canadians kicked ass by 9 strokes
I think they cheated because they count in metric.

So it's time for the banquet provided for by the losers(that would be us yanks)
Chef RC & cheffett Velma are preparing the milk can dinner(dinner cooked in a milk can & served in a trough)What can I say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The trough

Here it comes

Then you load up your plates & eat
Awesome!
Excellent diner
Hats off to the chef & cheffett

Now it's Party time-Vickey brought the baloons

Party on the beach- awesome for November.Man this retired life is tough
The rest of the pictures for the evening were sensored by the USRTC(sorry)

DAY 72 Black Friday

It's the annual Can-Am tourney here at Earp.where the worlds best golfers from all around both country's compete for the usual bragging rights.

The Yanks were short a couple so Peg & I volunteered to be Americans for a day.(there money is worth more than ours)
Some people didn't seem to appreciate that.

This is our fine team which managed(after a recount) to score 1 under.(the real yanks are Janey
& Jim

Backed up a little.

OH look it's John DaleyAnd there's Freddy

Just a great golf course carved into the desert.

A fantastic time was had by all on a beautiful day(even though John broke my flag pole)
Tomorrow we get the results at the banquet.

Then it was off to Texas Hold em where they pay back 4 spots & I came fifth.
John & Linda both got in the money.

DAY 71

Raining again this morning but it quit by about 11am & Mr. Sun re-appeared in all his glory. This baby has twin blown big blocks @ 800hp each
I was talking about the above boat.
Some of the women got pretty gussied up for the campground Thanksgiving dinner

While as you can see at least 3 of us guys wore black.
(I have no idea what that means or why I said it)
The meal was fantastic & everybody was stuffed.

Some of the Canadian broads decided to play a card game of some sorts which seemed to make them happy

The rest of us Canadians had a little crib tourney & got our asses kicked by the Koch's.
George & I got second & Linda & Peg brought home third.
John & Mel brought up the rear & there is no reason to mention Rod & Mel.

DAY 70

Mr Liver is a very happy camper today as it was an alcohol free day.

It rained off & on all day.

Well almost all day- until 3 minutes to happy hour-then the sun came out.

We still managed to refrain.

So it was a quiet day:Nothing to report(unless of course we talk about Peggy's snoring)

But we won't.

DAY 69?

Woke up,Jumped up,Dressed up,Put up, the top on the Jeep as it was raining.

What kind of crap is that?

It has not rained here in 90 days.

Oh well they probably need it.It is weird in the desert cause when it rains a little at home the water soaks into the ground.when it rains here the ground is so dry the water can't soak in so it just flows on top to the lowest spot.
They are worried about flooding even though they only got a sprinkle.

So was a quiet day, didn't do much till happy hour, then BBQ'd at John & Linda's with Jim & Laurie & Rod & Vicky.

DAY 68

Joseph was an hour late getting here this morning. He came to wash & wax the Motorhome and the jeep & his lady friend cleaned the inside of the motorhome while Peggy sat around feeling guilty.
Then it was into town again today for more beer & grub.

Found 1 boat dealer in the small town of Parker which is close by.Looked at a couple of boats. They seem to be a lot cheaper here.Bought nothing

Mel had bought a new Zodiak so it was time for it's maiden voyage.
I think more people showed up than at the Launching of the Titanic.
He had a bottle of Champagne but rather than try & break it on a rubber raft-We drank it!

The launch was successful but as with all toys they need a little tweeking.

No problemo

So it was off to the bar for beers-"hey wait for me you guys"
After enjoying the afternoon sun gee by golly it was happy hour again.
Then the Fishers came over for dinner & of course intelligent conversation.

There is one thing that is really important in life & that's-
We have been unable to find Kraft peanut butter anywhere.
So thanks to Wendy & Fedx we got a jar from St. Albert
Talk about stupid things to do.
How was I to know it what it would cost.

$80.63

DAY 67

A slow morning as things were a bit fuzzy for a while. This is not the boat I talked about yesterday but it's nice.800hp blown big block-120MPH
Anyway it's Grey Cup Sunday & every Canadian in the park got together except 1.
This picture was taken at 2pm. VINO PORKO SICKO

The rest of us had a good time.
I found it hard to cheer for anyone as I hate Montreal & can't stand Calgary.
At half time I headed home for more beer, visited with Clyde & Cookie for beers,
Ate some of Al's BBQ'd shrimp & then back to the party.

After the game we stuffed ourselves with some great homemade chili, more beer & then home to visit Rumpelstiltskin

DAY 66

Today we took off to LaPaz for the Friday Flea Market.I don't understand why people wish to purchase fleas but to each his own.
I found my 3 treasures.
1. The very useful battery post cleaner.Been looking at home but could not find one. Only $1.00
2. The very hard to find(been looking for a year) grapefruit spoons. Only $1.00

3. The Jimmy Johnson hat.Just to rub it in to my brother-in-law.Only $2.50
Total purchase $4.50US or $100.00 Canadian
Then it's off to the RV show where we made an offer on a new Motor Home but they wanted more than we were willing to pay.
Back home for beers by the river.Met another Canadian George who low & behold has a boat.
So 5 of us guys go for a little ride up the river(no camera)Stopped at 2 bars for marguritas made a little tour etc.
Awsome(I do love boats & water)
I also found the boat I want but can't afford($140,000 US)
Then it.s back to the Fisher's for more beers & dinner.John BBQ'd us up some mighty fine steaks with all the trimmings.I think Linda might of helped some too.
All in all a great day, even though I had too much beer, marguritas, wine & scotch.
