DAY 12

We packed up & headed south

In the clouds

took the scenic route off the main highway,drove all day but did not travel very far

It was slow going but worth it as it was very beautiful

Peggy kept thinking we were going to drive off

the mountain but we only came close.(great driving skills)

DAY !0

A Gorgeous day,sunny & warm & we have transportation.

So it's off exploring at the crack of dawn again(well maybe 11:30)into the forest & out to the beach

The view is quite remarkable here

DAY 9

NO RAIN-cloudy but no rain

Went to the chrysler dealer today-the part was there but they had nobody to work on it-too busy

So I laid down the law to the service manager-CANADIAN STYLE-I begged & kissed his ass-He put a guy on it right a way & we were out of there in 30 minutes,with the jeep in tow

Thank You Very Much

Found a nice campground in Cannon Beach Oregon

Took the dogs for a run on the ocean-forgot camera,did some much needed shopping & a tour of the town

Back to the campsite - ordered Pizza,played a little poker(Friday nite)

Oh ya-met a couple from Calgary who are staying in an 8' long Boler Type Trailer for 6 weeks with no amenities-Not for me but I'm not from Calgary

Day 8

More Rain

Still no Jeep-& no return phone call from dealership(I've never been much of a Fargo fan & it appears my opinion will not be changing)

Wendy sent us a package via UPS overnight-after 2 days it's still in Calgary(Unforgivable Poor Service-UPS)

We r going to move today-Jeep or no Jeep

Watched part of Soprano's season 4

DAY 7

Rain Rain Rain
It rained so much Bambi had to wear a raincoat(clear)
Stayed inside & watched season 3 of The Soprano's
Walked next door & had Chinese food for dinner

DAY 6

We packed up & headed south about 25 miles.thought we would be closer to things we could walk to but I guess not.

We travelled over the Astoria-Megler Bridge which is 4.1 miles long.The longest continuous truss bridge in North America.(wow)

Another beautiful day,soaked up some rays,BBQ'd had a few beers.

It will be nice when we get the Jeep back

This ship is The Norweigen Star Which is the sister ship to the one we went on in Hawaii(how bout that)

DAY 5

The Jeep needs a brake sensor which is located in San Diego so we mite be back on the road by Friday.
We did have a neighbor loan us his jeep to go to town to get grub & booze(disaster aborted-no booze)
It was a beautiful day so I washed the MH
We met some other great neighbors from Washington (Jim & Jan) who came over for happy hour.Of course happy hour lasted much longer than an hour.
We may move closer to the town where the Jeep is so we can walk to places rather than sit in one spot.

DAY 4

Well it's off to Long Island WA(I think it's famous for it's ice tea or something)

Stopped at Aberdeen Washington to find an old friend but apparently he got divorced,lost his house & moved to the Seattle area.(wow there's a story we've heard before)

Here we are at Long Beach camped by the ocean,the sun is shining but the Jeep is broke.throttle control lite is on-runs but no throttle response.

So the tow truck came & took it away-probably 25 miles away to be fixed(thank god for warranty)

So it's off to the beach where Sonny went nuts chasing birds in the ocean.The other 2 had fun also.

Now back to the camp site for more Beer then BBQ Steak(with charcoal not gas)a little wine etc

Day 3

Well we set a new record for departure time- 8:30 am

Took a rock on the winshield

Peg & Bambi had a spat but I think they worked it out.I want to stay neutral so I blamed it on the US road signs(sometimes they are not that clear)

When we were at the base of Mt Baker on the east side it was 22 degrees & sunny but when we reached the base on the west side it was 9 degrees & rainiing.

At the Border they confiscated our stash!
one bundle of green onions(apparently they mite infest the entire population of the US with bad breath or something)Otherwise the border guards were just fine.

Fuel is slightly cheaper $4.15 a gallon or $1.09 a liter(3.78 liters per us gallon)
Beer was $11.99 for 18 cans
Wine was 1.5 liters for $5.99

I guess u can tell my my babbling that nothing exciting happened(just the cat fight)It was another day of travelling.We are camped somewhere near Olympia WA & it will be off to the coast today.
So ta ta for now

Day 2

Not a lot to report toay,just a travelling day-left at the crack of dawn again or maybe it was 10:30

The weather was beautuful again

Stopped at Mara Lake for Lunch then on to Oliver where we spent the nite

Note:BAMBI,Trying out "streets & trips" a computer program with voice guidence.We named the voice Bambi & this is what I claim she looks like.(I think she"s coming on to me)

DAY 1

We are up & I really think we mite be starting out today.The fuel tank is full($437.00 later) &  the Shitter is empty(free)

We had the Last supper last nite at Don-Dees with the "POTTS",played some cards & drank too many beers-so we must be on vacation.

Time to get my ass in gear so we can"get out of Dodge"

As we leave town with the view of snow in the mirror & the hot sun streaming through the windshield we think of BS as it never happened.

First it was a stop @ Timmy"s for a coffee(yum) & a BELT(arg) Can't wait for LUNCH

Finally we head down the road at the crack of dawn or maybe it was almost 10am

First Stop was Lunch & the scenery was awsome,then off to golden where we spent  the nite

DAY 0

Well I think today is Day 0.We plan on leaving tomorrow.Hurray!

Should be fantastic weather for travelling & stuff.(whatever that means)

Getting Ready

Today was the day we planned on leaving but that's not going to happen.

Thanks to The County of Woodlands.

However we should be out of here in the next couple of days
